Our alliance invites players level 50 and up. Our training alliance the darkside, accepts players of all levels. The bulk of this page will involve your Set-up after you have reached level 12
Brief notes up to 12:
You will now receive a tutorial that will guide you through level 7, there really isn't anything you can do on your own during this period.
Levels 8-10, follow the quests as given.
Levels 10-12, at this point you will feel stuck. If we have reached out to you about joining the alliance and are offering help accept it.
The biggest issue you will have is food before you can get your floor-mill upgrade at level 11. The new bonuses designed to keep you in the game and encourage you to stay give you too many troops and you don't have enough food to feed them.
Make sure that you:
Add more farms. The Quest book has asked you to build and upgrade 3 farms by this point. Build 2 more and upgrade them to their max. Don't go crazy and build like 10 because they don't produce as much as the first 3 and you will run out of space.
Level 12 and UP
Castle Development
Continue to follow the Quest Book but in addition you should have in your castle:
5 farmhouses upgraded to the max
5 wood cutters upgraded to the max
5 stone cutters upgraded to the max
In your main you should probably have 6 or 7 of each resource producing for you but hold off until you have your keep and sawmills, stone masons, and floor mills in higher levels so they can produce more and the lower % makes becomes worthwhile.
After you have finished these "extra" buildings, build up to 3 guardhouses and 3 taverns. Do not wait for a quest to tell you to build an extra one because it does not. You can have up to 3 taverns in your main castle. Unlimited guardhouses but having 3 before you can upgrade them will be helpful.
Walls, Gates and Towers
For better defense it is very important to act on wall and gate upgrades in a timely manner. The Towers can get tedious but they are very important also.
Towers determine how many troops you can put on the defense wall (please refer to the defense tab for more information) and for immediate effect for you at a lower level, it can increase your Public Order (PO).
As you put dwellings, into your castle, your PO decreases and whenever your PO decreases, so does production. Most immediately affected is food production. Frankly, what it means is there are more people mulling around that aren't workers who can cause fights or distractions to your busy bees, you have working for you.
Dwellings are necessary for your castle's economy. If you are only playing in the Evergreen Kingdom, tax collection is your primary source of revenue. Utilize decorations to offset PO decreased through population.
I don't advise going beyond the dwellings that are required to fulfill quests. In your main space will become an issue and when you enter into other kingdoms and find other access to revenue you may even demolish a few.
If you heard of the old tip to load up on level 1 dwellings that's fine but do that in one of your outposts (not the food one) you can designate an outpost for revenue along with your other resources because you don't have to fit as many buildings inside the gates.
Hideaways. They are an interesting piece of property. They are useful in the lower levels and the beginning stages of your game play to guarantee you some resources to help put out fires if you have been attacked.
However, they become obsolete as your storage increases and there is no way anyone can leave you with no resources to put out fires, if they attack you. They aren't expensive and and don't take forever to build so build a couple and then demolish them when you need space.
The Keep - a priority to upgrade when it becomes available. This sets the speed of everything in your castle from buildings, production to recruitment. It takes a while but it is worth it.
Rubies
Some of us buy them and some of us just earn them throughout the game. Whichever is your way, you are more than welcome in our alliance. A word of advice to both types of players:
Do not use rubies to "insta-build" anything, that is a complete waste. It is better that you spend the time learning the game than being a level 40 in 2 weeks.
Rubies are best spent on ruby buildings, decorations and tools. Remember, these are permanent buildings and cannot be demolished so each one will take up space.
The first building you should spend your rubies is the bakery. The bakery will reduce food consumption of your troops thus allowing you to recruit more troops.
The next that is the most important in my view is upgrading stables.
If you don't have that much, a watchtower could be a good buy. The drill ground is another building to consider as it can make recruiting faster. However, the feasts do provide a similar function.
New, is the master-builder, I do see a merit for this building if you are at a lower level, especially between 25-41, when you have a lot of building to do that costs a lot of resources. After, not so much worth the rubies since you should have an abundance of resources and not much building left. It can be a valuable by for higher level players as the go into other kingdoms as resources need to be sent up and you have to start over from scratch.
The Fire Station is debatable as being useful. It's about your access to rubies, if you have limited rubies you can use them to buy tools so you don't lose as many battles and you will have less fires to put out.
Ruby Moat. Another one that depends on your availability of rubies. It gives a 10% more permanent defense that the regular moat but it cost 12,500 to build.
Townhouses. They don't lower PO, so if you have the rubies it might be a better options than dwellings, but the same goes with dwellings, when you have access to other sources of revenue, they become a space taker upper.
Military Hospital. New building, I am looking for information on it. It is the Medico that used to be temporary for a time of war. But now it is permanent. Seems like a good buy if you are frequently in battles and wars.
Hunter's Lodge. This use to be outside the castle and you could use it anytime to send out an hunter to bring back food for you. Now at level 53 it is available and is built inside the castle. It allows you to increase your food production but at the same time, as if your wood cutters, ans stone mason workers are out hunting for food they are not working on those resources, thus your wood and stone decreases.
This is a good option if you are at a place with not a lot of building left and you would like to hold more troops. It can fully controlled by the player, so if you are battling or in an event and want to hold more troops you have that option, and you can reset it back whenever you'd like.
Tools
Armored and Ruby tools always give you better bonuses than regular tools (please refer to the troops and tools page.)
Decorations are important to increase PO and allow a faster production rate with all your plants. Be careful with the smaller ruby decorations because you are likely going to end up putting them in storage as parks and better ones become available to you.
Other good uses are overseers or other Heroes, reserve for protection and opening gates
No one should spend 4900 rubies on a King's Banner.
